It is an oddity to me that so many people still rely on the past to inform them of the future. Country risk for the United States has risen, after Moodys credit agency downgraded their sovereign credit rating. The coveted AAA rating for cheap financing and more, is no longer awarded to the United States by the big three credit agencies. Does it really matter?
According to Reuters, they are sceptical about whether the Trump regime will take it seriously, but they should. The cost of effectively plundering the US Treasury through schemes like their crypto ‘initiative’ will rise sharply. Other grabs of US public finances via tax cuts for a select few, and also tariffs over the longer term, will be affected.
US Country Risk Rises In Many Areas
I can only theorize that the intended socio-economic impact of US imposed tariffs is contingent on target country capitulation. Add to this, direct inward investment from Trump org’s rich associates, such as Saudia Arabia and the UAE.
Hitler’s Germany delivered an ‘economic miracle’ in the 1930s, as big business channelled huge inward investment in Germany’s infrastructure and industries of war. The same behaviors seen in Trump’s USA may explain Trump org’s ambivalence to enlightened fund-raising practices for sovereigns.
Country Risk Is Transnational
As hybrid warfare has crawled out of a dark soviet playbook to fuel global conquest by tyrants, danger lurks in the indirect as well as the direct. Our society, our civil environment as we know it, our experience as a society, they are all in scope. Average Americans feel it in the gutting of their government and their civil rights.

As transnational hybrid warfare campaigns have an assigned requirement to socially disrupt all target societies (including the US), the interconnectedness of material negative events becomes relevant. Forming a coherent pattern is the campaign of Trump org attacking US governance and values, financial mismanagement of the US public interest, and counter-productive US foreign policy.
It’s my view that Moodys correctly called the downgrading of the sovereign credit rating of the United States. As consumers in the United States suffer from Trump’s tariff war, the cost of living will further soar. While America struggles to service its sovereign debt, Americans will increasingly struggle to pay the bills.
US Country Risk Rises. Was Forewarning Ignored?
Knowing what we know, America has a dark future ahead, as do all who subscribe to Trump org’s authoritarian domination. America knew of KGB subversion projects back in the 1980s, and more recently, digital subversion projects pioneered by the UAE. The ‘leader of the free-world’ has had plenty of time to respond.
The current reasons for America’s jump from democracy to authoritarian heavyweight will soon be irrelevant. What matters is the impact of Trump org, the intent behind its subversion of US governance, and their goals upon fully achieving it. In that, you will find Trump’s transnational alliance of backers surfacing to claim their rewards in a broken United States.
The coherence and power of their authoritarian alliance is rewriting the world order in our time. Those to take time to know their enemies, and also their friends, are wise. They will see through fresh eyes with clarity of foresight. Using a risk-based lens, doing the right thing can see us through these trouble times by lessening loss, and the terrible costs involved.

Understandable, Andrea. The actions taken that have led to this, have been a long time coming. We are witnessing pivotal history in the making as the world order shifts once more. As with all siezmic geopolitical shifts, the few that directly benefit, often do so at the expense of the many.
Thanks for this article.. Man, I can tell you that watching from Germany, I am horrified.. People here are confused, shocked, shaking their heads.. As an American living abroad, I am sad and scared for my country..
