Astonishing Theory Indicates We Exist In A Cyclic Universe

My newly launched (web novel) project, Hindsight Station, has reconnected me to one of my passions. Every wonder about the universe, and how we are here? I do, and marvel at how science has been so resilient in its pursuit of a truthful answer to how we exist. Amidst an enormous universe, does hawking radiation hold the key to a new perspective?

As a physics layperson, I can only marvel at how hawking radiation can simultaneously inspire both groundbreaking research and also arguments about its existence. I think it is a genuine lead to addressing the ‘how’, as we unlock some of the universe’s juiciest secrets.

Professor Steven Hawkings’ RIP, mathematically showed us that empty space, as we know it, is not really empty. It still contains the quantum framework, for matter, that once occupied that very space.

Hawking Radiation And The Universe

As our universe expands, it does so in an orderly fashion. We know our universe will somehow avoid getting messy and disorganised, as celestial objects to entire galaxies stretch further away from each other. Eventually, they will all grow cold and die. Is that the end of the story?

Not according to some renowned theoretical physicists and mathematicians. They see hawking radiation as the cornerstone of a cyclic universe. As one universe expands into literally noting, the persistence of supermassive black holes exiting matter over its lifetime enables a new big bang. In this new inflating universe, a Hawking point is born.

Old Universe Clues in New Beginnings

Theoretical physics consider Hawking points, quantum remnants of a supermassive black hole from a previous universe. Disagreement exists in the scientific community as to their actual presence. Cornell University stated in 2019 that they could not find any evidence of them in cosmic background radiation, or CMB for short.

Enter Oxford mathematician, Roger Penrose, and his theory called conformal cyclic cosmology. His team refocused on cosmic hotpots that were thought destroyed in the inflationary stage after the big bang.

They have since noted the temperature drop off in adjacent cosmic background radiation, showing hawking points. These old black holes are confirming mathematically with the squashing of a dead black hole, and it remains distributed into our universe via the big bang.

Space A New Frontier

Imagine all that energy consumed by supermassive black holes. They literally eat our entire universe, then said matter is reborn into a new universe via a big bang. While the possibilities are endless, our minds should never stop been curious, as we struggle with understanding new tech, new science and the world we live in.

Like Jack Fong in Hindsight Station, scientific curiosity becomes him as he struggles against those who see him and his ideas as a threat. We should remember that space is not a dead and empty area. It’s a fluidic reminder of what we see in our gaze. What once was, will never be the same again. Dunno about you, but I’m curious as to the why?

About the Author

As I move onto my next authoring project, I will post less frequently on the real-world issues linked to my novel, From Terror to Valor: Echoes and Shadows. My next project, Hindsight Station, will initially be a progression science fiction, web-novel delivered via Patreon and eventually Royal Road.
