Elon Musk is proving to be a man of many cloaks. He seems to have shed his tech entrepreneur cloak, for an antidemocratic one, as we have seen in Europe and the United States. Judging by their silence and late action, the political elite in the United States have appeared hamstrung by this new form of autocratic assault. Is it now descending into chaos?
Musk’s heritage has seen him set up to succeed, even when he fails. Ideological alignment by Musk to technically brilliant people was a hallmark of his leadership style and management approach. They vowed to help him, which heavily influenced his background success in Paypal, Tesla, and SpaceX.
Elon Musk As A Hero And A Villian
Musk’s move into politics seems to stem from his troubled purchase of Twitter (now X) in 2022, and his continuing SpaceX contracts with the US Government. Ironically, the well-respected tech entrepreneur cited fake accounts as a misrepresentation of Twitter’s worth, which sparked a legal challenge to his withdrawal from the US$44 billion deal.

Without explanation, he changed his mind, and the deal went through. Around this time, the Russian Army invaded Ukraine. Musk approved of giving the Ukrainian Army Starlink units for battlefield communications. Celebrated as a hero, social media sentiment soon turned sour as he become more and more pro Kremlin in his actions and his behavior.
Musk Descends Into Authoritarianism
He has been busy ever since neglecting his successful businesses; in favor of X, and the vast array of anti-democratic sentiment fuelling societal unrest. He has engaged in subversive posting of tailored disinformation, and outright lies to ignite social unrest in the UK, and other nations, like Germany.
Platforming with Trump and his disinformation machine, he appears to have descended into authoritarianism, and the uglier aspects of that governance model. Conspiring with Trump org, his illegally incorporated Department of Government Efficiency is a good example to explore. This, as one of several acts, appears in concert like a bloodless coup of the United States.
Taking control of the US Treasury Department’s nonpartisan, nonpolitical, payments system has finally awoken in-denial Americans as to the peril their democracy is in. The same actions also expose the villainous actions of a once celebrated hero. He will have trouble explaining himself when the fog of subversive deception disappears.
Trump In Power Enables Musk Agenda
A federal judge in early February blocked his access to US Treasury department payment systems, after a lawsuit by nineteen state Attorney Generals. They are objecting to the blatant overreach by Trump, and the risk posed by Musk as Trump’s delegated agent. This is but one of the pending lawsuits against Trump, Musk, and others for their actions since taking power.
As Trump org continues to attack allies, enable enemies, and plunder the United States, Musk’s role as chief distraction maker continues to maliciously impact lives. Just last November, his violations of the Digital Subversion Act in the EU led to threats against the EU by VP Vance.
This contempt also reflects in Trump’s trade wars with Canada, Mexico and even China. I have never seen respect for anybody fade so quickly. It seems to have evaporated under the glare of hazy indoctrination, or utter alarm at the rise of this new phantom menace.
Musk encourages social unrest in nations allied to the United States, while he furthers the agenda of Russia as just one of a host of benefactors. This digital subversion lord has proven himself a threat to democracy, noting it is only a portion of what he does.
You can believe the balance will solidify the malicious and irrevokable agenda he has embarked upon. He, and his associates, must face accountability before this agenda spirals into a full-blown dark age. If we face this uncomfortable reality now, we can, together, stop it from progressing any further. Let’s look back with pride as we assign the instigators to the records of criminal history.
