Discover Hindsight Station: A New Sci-Fi Reading Journey

Hopefully, after reading this blog–you will find the sci-fi reading community to be a little smaller and more rewarding. Just yesterday, I launched my debut web serial, Hindsight Station: Ashes Reborn on Patreon. This sci-fi saga heads into orbit with thirteen chapters on board. Interested?

Inspiration From Sci-Fi Reading

I always start with the journey in mind, which is why I connected with my love of Star Wars from the tender age of four years old. Add healthy portions of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate and more over the years, and you have my inspiration covered.

My move into fiction writing became possible through non-fiction journalism and tech writing—yet I found inspiration from such sci-fi classics. Also, the Dune classics, fan fiction, and the many talented authors on web serial platforms–and also digital novel platforms have shown me where I belong.

Our storytellers have a message to bring, and hopefully mine will entertain besides being thought provoking. James Fong’s struggle, and world, represent why humankind’s eternal struggle to do the right thing is also a good thing. The shadow forces seeking absolute power can succeed, but only relative to the darkness they bring. Can James prevail with his team?

Thirteen Chapter Launch on Patreon

On November 10th, 2025, I launched Hindsight Station: Ashes Reborn on Patreon with a thirteen-chapter launch. You can delve into this dystopian struggle to recover humankind’s fate and reach the stars–with two extra chapters per week to add to your reading list.

If you love sci-fi reading, then jump straight ahead on Patreon. Besides advance chapters, your access will see the latest chapter releases along with exclusive access to my private Discord server covering all things sci-fi, including this epic sci-fi saga.

New Sci-Fi Reading on Wattpad

Need to sample my work? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. I launched the first five chapters today on Wattpad and will also post chapter one here on Author Mulhall. This coming Friday on Wattpad, I will release the second five chapters, and one chapter a week thereafter. Just a day later, a two advance chapter drop is coming to Patreon.

Friday’s midday release will initally be on Wattpad, to be followed a day later on Patreon with two advance chapters. Patreon subscribers can enjoy a good weekend’s catch up with the world of James Fong in Hindsight Station: Ashes Reborn.

As a part-time writer, your support on Patreon will help me transition over time to a full-time writer, where I can increase my chapter drops and bring you more and more sci-fi stories.

Hindsight Station: Ashes Reborn is just the beginning of one series. This will eventually move onto Amazon when you are so far ahead, the beginning is part of the series footprint that all readers will have read.

The passion for writing and living in futuristic worlds is what drives me. We write as it expands our imagination; we read as it inspires our hopes and dreams–and above all; we use both to influence our future. With inspiration and such imagination, the stars dance in anticipation of our arrival.
